Happy 1st Gotcha Day!!

One year ago today...

the Lord gave us one of His greatest gifts- our beautiful Ethiopian princess.

I cannot imagine our life without her in it. She has brought so much joy into our family and her little life has forever blessed ours.

She is full of spunk, smart as can be and enthralled with the world around her. She makes me smile and melts my heart with a single look.

Thank you Lord for this amazing gift and thank you God for her donor ~who we will be forever grateful for. Because of you and your heart, this precious treasure is ours.

And please pray for the many children in Ethiopia

and for the families who are longing to bring them home-

as news has it Ethiopia is cutting back as much as 90 percent the number of inter-country adoptions.

My heart breaks for all involved as they wait...
we are praying.

Has it really been a YEAR!? Wow! I remember logging on and finding out about this new treasure and what a surprise it was! Still so excited for you and your family as you continue to follow God. I am loving this new step you are taking, it's Olivia's DREAM! :) She wants to help orphans and maybe run an orphanage when she grows up, but is clear that she wants to help the people of the area where she works so they can better their lives, it's too sweet for words! :) I'm so thrilled to follow your journey! :)

Cute as a cupcake!!! Beautiful photos and nice finishing.
I had also heard that Ethiopia was clamping down. What would make a country so in need choose this route for its people??? Tragic!
Havyn looks like she is going to keep you busy:)

What a beautiful, precious girl!

Thank you for your prayers. We are awaiting a court date in ET for our precious 3 year old son and we are heartbroken. BUT God is sovereign and we put our hope in him!

Happy Anniversary - sweet princess! Gorgeous photos too...wow!!!

I have been sick to my stomach over all the news about court cutting back so aggressively - our 5yo son is waiting for us, and we haven't even been submitted to court yet. We are praying these changes don't keep him from him family longer than absolutely necessary. Thank you for your continued prayers!

She is breathtaking! :) Can't believe it's been a year already. I am so sad about the situation in Ethiopia. I will pray for things to change--as I have prayed and prayed for Guatemala to reopen. *Sigh*
