Thankfulness.... Day 7 Our partners. :)

Not a day goes by that we do not stop and thank the Lord for our amazing partners. Those individuals both little and big who make it possible for us to be here serving. Those who faithfully lift our family up in prayer, advocate for us, encourage us and sacrifice so that we can be here doing what we do. Plain and simply, without them doing their part we couldn't be doing ours.

I cannot even begin to explain to you the ways we have seen God at work through those who are partnering with us behind the scenes. Days where God showed us He was there as we witnessed them at work. Days where Gods heart for the orphan was revealed through theirs. And it is in those moments we are refreshed, uplifted and have the strength to keep on going.

Just last we I received an email and this picture from a church in Illinois. The teacher told me she had taught Childrens Church through the month of October and they highlighted our family and the work we are doing here at Eagles Nest. The children learned about mission, collected money to purchase a pair of shoes for the kids here as well as prayed for our family- and I had no idea they were. Seeing their precious little faces show up in my inbox brought me to my knees. God is so good and works in ways we couldn't even imagine.

We are so thankful for our partners. Thankful for their hearts, their crucial part in making missions possible and their desire to give in such a selfless way. Thank you for the example you are to those around you, but most of all, thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. We love you guys!!

Dear Amy,
Two of those kiddos are mine (both of whom have been adopted from foster care). They have an older birth sister who is also adopted and I have two birth children. Some days, our challenges seem so overwhelming that it is all I can do to utter the simplest of prayers. Then I meet families like yours...who have given up the comforts of America to serve the "least of these" in radical obedience. Suddenly my problems seem so minuscule. I am so humbled, inspired and appreciative of your example! I pray that God will bless you exceedingly and abundantly more than you can fathom.
Sending much love, hugs and prayers,
Gayle
