Thanks so much for sharing. I had to make a mad dash for the kleenex box. You are an inspiration. So very glad I recently found your blog. Praying for your family!!
I love it!! Im crying right now!! Im the one who e-mailed you the other day about adoption agencies. I feel as though, I keep running into brick walls with all the restrictions. Thanks so much for this awesome video. I needed it!! ashley_nicole1129@yahoo.com
Thanks for sharing this! It'so tragic that there are so many obstacles to adoption! We've been trying for 4 years to complete an adoption from Guatemala. Our son, like of hundreds of others, abandoned and waiting in an over-crowded institution while we fight to bring him home. What a tragic disconnect - thousands of children waiting to come home and thousands of families working tirelessly to bring them home while beauracracies and ill-directed policies stand as a barrier.
I love your blog and would love to see a post on the increasing inter-country challenges facing those of us trying (so hard!) to adopt.
Thank you for sharing your insights, your family, your heart. Donna
I just watched this and wept through the entire thing...it broke my heart not only because of the orphan crisis, but because three of our adopted children are from Liberia...and there are so many more and now the adoption doors are closed to Liberia.
On my knees for answers as to what next for our family as we are still finishing up are other adoption that we are doing through a disruption.
I just found your blog and posted this video on our blog. Thank you for sharing. These words will be in the forefront of my mind as we begin our fostering journey.
Blessed mommy of nine- 4 the regular old way, 2 adopted from Guatemala, 2 adopted through the foster system, and one adopted from Ethiopia. Our family is serving the Lord in Guatemala at Village of Hope- a home for special needs children. I'm passionate about adoption and being a mom. I'm a work in progress, utterly reliant upon God. I'm easy-going, until I freak out. Organized, until I lose something. Laid back, until someone hurts the ones I love. I love taking pictures and writing. I adore big families and people who are willing to live life in an unordinary way. Come along on my journey and watch 'as my blessings grow'.
