What if we had let the fact that the timing wasn't perfect stop us...
What if we had let the fact that she was born 2 months premature stop us...
What if we had let the fact that the color of our skin didn't match stop us...
What if we had let the fact that the color of our skin didn't match stop us...
What if we had let the fact that we already had 8 children stop us...
What if we had let the fact that we were getting older stop us...
What if we had let the fact that we didn't have the cash in the bank stop us...
What if we had let the fact that our vehicle wasn't big enough stop us...
What if we had let the fact that people thought we were crazy stop us...
What if we had let the fact that she was born to a mother with HIV stop us...
What if we had let the fact that we didn't know what her future would hold stop us...
Because none of those facts mattered anymore..
Once God placed her in our hearts.
And if we would have let those facts stop us...
Than we would have missed out on the only fact that truly mattered...
That this precious baby girl....
was meant to be...
we could have missed out on one of the greatest blessings
in our life...
all because of those silly little facts.

She is a true treasure from our King! Praise the Lord you didn't listen to those "facts"!
In Him,

That was great! Never let the "facts" get in the way of doing the right thing.
AMEN!
Oh how those facts constantly get brought up - don't they?
But the fact and truth trump them every time!
Love you!

So true. And what a beauty my little Havyn is:)
My husband and I went to a domestic infant adoption meeting at Bethany last night. I had been wanting to go for years and my husband finally agreed to go. He is now becoming more open to adoption. I showed him your post tonight because I felt like you were talking to us. Thanks for all your wonderful posts on adoption! You encourage me.
beautiful.
That is amazing...
The what if's always get me..See we are foster parents and 2.5 years ago we could of taken lots of healthy children and there was a boy 4 months old that had a rare blood disorder called HLH and our agency didn't want us to take him but I insisted that we meet him and we did meet him and instantly fell in love with him.He was placed in our family and we loved him through it all.We lived mostly at the hospital. He got his Bone Marrow Transplant in July 2009 and he still was in and out of the hospital and for the last time we walked into Seattle Childrens on Sept 17th and Anthony finally went to be with Jesus on Sept 29th.No more pain..But what would he of been without us..Without us loving, caring for him,Adopting him and giving him the family that he needed.

Very well stated. We will need a 12 passenger van when we bring our 2 home too, so this is very well done and wonderful! God will provide. Thanks!
