That kind of love...

Love is more than simply warm feelings; it is an attitude that reveals itself in action. How can we love others as Jesus loves us? By helping when it's not convenient, by giving when it hurts, by devoting energy to others' welfare rather than our own, by adsorbing hurts from others without complaining or fighting back. That kind of love is hard to do. That is why people notice when you do it...

Amy I love this post! The picture looks like it could have many spiritual meanings and I love the description of love. There is a song I love that reminds me of the post you posted back on July 21 that reminds me of the steps you are taking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2U3PU-E32E I hope you enjoy it.

Short. Simple. But powerful truth! Blessings ~ Jen

thanks, I so agree - years back I went on a mission's trip to Isreal and what the people there noticed, was not our nice skits or our pamphlets, but how we treated each other - because we loved each other. Tone

I heard that your coming to IL to speak about your mission. I would love to hear you/meet you. I met a friend of yours from Cheneoa by a random encounter and as we shared about international adoption she told me about you. I already "knew" of your family from following your blog. She said you would be in Leroy.

So true!

I love your blog and we are supporters of your family. My kids and I are very excited to see your posts when you move to Gautemala. We pray for your family often.
If you would like to meet my family, hop on over. We are a homeschooling family, too.
