Oh I am so excited to notice that Valentines Day is just around the corner!!! Growing up my mom always used to leave us a little something on the ends of our bed on Valentines day and we carried that tradition on. Valentines day is my favorite. I don't know if it's because I adore those little conversation hearts, chocolates wrapped in red foil, or because my husband is always on his best behavior. ;0) But regardless of why- some of us just need reminders every now and then to 'share the love'. Sharing the love can come in so many different forms- sending a card, bringing flowers, or even a smile and a hug. Because the truth is- most days it's so easy to get caught up in 'the stuff' that we forget to tell those we love just how much we really do love them.
Relationships are a gift... if you ask any person who has been told they have only a short time left on this earth what matters to them- I guarantee you all of them will say the people they love.
A sweet friend of mine, Shelley (who is adoptive mama of twins- one who is being rocked to sleep by Jesus each night) decided to share the love and help out a few precious families who are in the process of adopting right now. She's got a great drawing going on right now on her blog that you do not want to miss out on. So go share the love, help a child (or two or three) find their way HOME- and perhaps you could be the lucky winner!

In what ways are you going to share your love this Valentines Day?

Thank you Amy. You are so sweet.
I LOVE, LOVE Valentine's day, too! I am sooo sad that I won't be home for valentine's this year. I will be taking our newest peanut to Cincinnati for 2 weeks to see specialists...I'm trying to come up with something special for my kiddos at home with daddy...any ideas?
Off to check out Shelley's blog!!!
This is such a sweet post...but did you take a good look at the messages on the candy hearts in your picture? I didn't even know they made candy that insulted for Valentine's Day!
Amy- I'm sure you didn't notice, but the comments on the candy hearts are probably not those you intended to share. Just wanted to give you a heads up if you wanted to change it. :)
I love Valentine's day too!
you are so sweet and precious! your kids are so blessed to call you mom!
love you!

Thanks everyone for the heads up. Seriously, I am about to die of embarassment. Why in the world would anyone ruin a sweet piece of candy by putting something like that on them? Ugh. Anyway- thanks for pointing that out to me- I changed it. ;0)
I recently ended an engagement, and while it hurts, I can honestly say I recognize and am appreciative more than ever before of those who have walked beside me in life, embraced true relationship, been there to lovingly say "you might want to rethink that" or "you're totally off," and loved me and comforted me through the hard times, and then allowed me to do all the same in their lives. I also recognize just how solid of a rock God, our beautiful Father, truly is, and the need for that relationship!
My mom used to leave us valentines chocolates for us, too. In fact she still sends us a card and stuff for the kids; I guess it's one of her favorites, too!
I didn't see the other candy hearts but I just about fell out of my chair from laughter, Amy! I don't know you well personally but knowing your heart from this blog I could imagine that they weren't good sayings and that your face was red as a beet! :0) It was cute!
I love love love valentine's day too! I am thinking of sending the boys candy baskets to their schools. Our oldest wouldn't appreciate that so he'll get candy at home, but I think our younger two would be SUPER excited! Our local florist makes cool baskets full of candy so that they're still manly enough LOL!
I love the colors of the holiday, too. Bright colors in the middle of the dreary cold days! yay to that! :)
Hugs & Prayers

I liked the other hearts...they were funny...must have been what you were really feeling yesterday!
Hehe... I looked at this post again just now after seeing it yesterday and I was thinking I must've had a dream that the sayings on the hearts were not-so-nice when I looked yesterday. I wanted to look at the comments to see if there was a change talked about. Funny! (-: It's okay Amy. I think everyone figured you just didn't catch the sayings.
