We'll be praying and advocating for this child and all involved. We're hoping that the Lord protects and guides this child for life no matter what happens in regards to his adoption situation.
oh amy, my heart breaks for him. What a terrible terrible thing for him to have the hope and joy of family to have it shattered lke that. I will be praying fiercely that God will work a huge miracle! darci (in canada, sadly..)
I know that this sort of thing happens more than we'd all care to admit, but man this situation is breaking my heart so badly. If only this were a domestic adoption. We could make him our son then. )-: We have a domestic study done, but not an international one. Still spreading the word about sweet Davids.
That is awful. I know making the decision on who to adopt can be difficult, but I would feel so bad for changing my mind, and I can't believe they haven't responded to the attempts for contact. I'll be praying for all of them, and especially for Davids. I posted his story on my facebook, hoping one of my friends who has adopted or is will be interested or know someone who is!
hi amy, you don't have to post this comment. :) but please let us know as soon as you hear ANYTHING>.we have esp one little girl who can't sleep at night and wants so badly to help ,love darci
I am in no position to bring this child home. But I'm wondering, if no one steps up by his 16th birthday is there ANYTHING this community of believers could do to rally around this child w/ resources and bring him safely to America? Even if it's just a temporary situation and it takes a little longer for him to find his "forever home" once he's here, I just feel like we can't give up on him. Can resources be pooled?
Blessed mommy of nine- 4 the regular old way, 2 adopted from Guatemala, 2 adopted through the foster system, and one adopted from Ethiopia. Our family is serving the Lord in Guatemala at Village of Hope- a home for special needs children. I'm passionate about adoption and being a mom. I'm a work in progress, utterly reliant upon God. I'm easy-going, until I freak out. Organized, until I lose something. Laid back, until someone hurts the ones I love. I love taking pictures and writing. I adore big families and people who are willing to live life in an unordinary way. Come along on my journey and watch 'as my blessings grow'.

His story breaks my heart. Praying his family finds him before his time runs out.

Hi Amy,

Gina- that is a GREAT question (love your heart by the way). I don't know the answer though... can that be done? Does anyone out there know?
