Rest

One thing I fully admit to not being very good at is resting. As you Mommy's are well aware- there just never seems to be time to rest when you are taking care of little ones.
In addition, LOTS of work goes into moving a family of 9 to another country and getting 2 more are settled into college.

Yet rest is biblical and it is important. Important to take care of ourselves so we can take care of those who need us to take care of them.

Thanks to a precious friend of mine I was given that much needed rest and relaxation this past weekend. I felt just like the princess in my dreams. :) I was treated to a massage and pedicure (something I had only ever done once before in my life) dinner out (Japanese) great talks about life, lots of laughter and lots much needed rest.

Thank you Angel for this gift you have given me. I didn't even realize how badly I needed it. Your friendship blesses me more than you will ever know.

And thank you to my precious husband for doing such a great job with our babies all on your own. I am so truly blessed.

You're so right about taking time away to rest. Not only the weekly Sabbath rest that God requires, but a good-time-with-a-friend-while-eating-out-and-having-a-pedicure kind of rest too. Good for you! :)

All that and a few other things! ;) you have a bit of a wild side to you as well ;) I love the way you all love on each other near and far. So thankful for the rest you received. Laughter, love, talks and all the rest are just icing on the cake. So excited for you move. Thank you for saying yes and being the light of the world for so many.

I'm so glad you are getting some R & R. You are very inspiring. We have decided to adopt again (or do foster care), I'm so excited (and nervous), but looking at your blog makes me think I can do it!! :)
