My dad told me that he noticed that I hadn't been writing very much lately and asked why. The truth is, I'm not exactly sure anymore how to put into words or how to process all of the things we see here in a day. Sometimes my heart is so heavy and my emotions are so raw I don't even know where to begin.
So much newness...
So much change...
And in truth, many days I struggle with how to balance it all.
So for today, I am doing all I know how to do- taking it one step at a time, learning as I go and handing the rest over to Him and trusting that He has a plan.
And so out of exhaustion and lack of words I will leave you with some random pictures of our days here..

I'm not sure if my last comment went through, so here is my email again. jbergren@live.olivet.edu
Keegan said you needed it lol. Sorry I didn't think to put it in my last comment.
I love the pictures by the way!
I totally get what you are saying. We just spent 3 weeks on mission in Uganda building a school. The people back home were like, why aren't you posting on Facebook? Not only were we physically exhausted from huge days, but the immensity of what we were seeing compared to the luxury that we knew at home was so hard to communicate! Be blessed today and know that you are lifted up here by your new friend in Australia.
Hugs, Shani
A picture's worth 1000 words. In this case, though, I'm pretty sure their worth more words than any of us can count. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us today.
There may not be many words, but you'd said a ton. I think when our world becomes so close to His heart, there really aren't adequate words. It's beautiful, it's hard, it's overwhelming!! Love you, Sister...keep on!
Please know that we are continually praying for you guys. You are right where God wants you to be. He will strengthen you my friend. Hugs!!
Oh Amy...we understand.
The pictures, they say a lot, friend.
You said YES, ya know. That's pretty huge. It's okay to feel humbled by what He's showing you.
He's there.
Hugs and Prayers

I can't imagine putting into words what you have experienced but thank you for sharing your heart. That's what God did - He shared His heart to us. And oh, thanks Dad! I've missed the outpouring of her heart too.
I picture is worth a thousand words...awesome!
I will be praying for ya’ll
PRAYING!!!! Knowing God will help you process what you need to....
Love your random pics :)
I can't imagine how hard it is to process all you see, it's understandable why you have a heavy heart. Think of the blessings you have brought to these beautiful people and how God is shaping your life and family in such an amazing way.
Praying for you sweet sister
Oh Amy, sweet Amy, I love you so. Just going on the short term mission trips to Guatemala and Africa made me just stop and not being able to talk and put me in awe. You are there, with your whole family, long term, nobody can possibly imagine unless they living it. We are doing the Beth Moore Study Mercy Truimphs and studying James.. Wow, wow and wow, choked up because she talks about you missionaries. Every chapter I do with her you are constantly on my mind. I am praying for God to open up huge doors to help you all out way more than what we have...Agh, I can't wait to come see you and love on you but even more so the people of Guatemala.
Few words. Much impact.
Thanks for representing Jesus to those most often forgotten.

I have just found your blog. We have a little gal from Guatemala and we are really looking for ways to be more involved in her country. I would love to know more about what you are doing. Could you email me at ashleyskiles29@msn.com? Your family is darling and its so fun to see pics of Guatemala. Makes me hungry-love those homemade tortillas!
Great pictures. Love the one with the lady washing her hair. Did you get to show her the pictures? Wondering her response.
God bless you
Erika
Pictures can certainly speak more than words. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
So hoping I can come visit/work with you some time.
